Activity plan and activities performed

Deadline :  01.09.2021–31.10.2021.

 

Project implementation activities in the current year:

  1. Procurement of the technical means necessary for the digitization of academic music materials.

  2. Identifying the priorities for selecting and researching academic musical creations and developing the algorithm for identifying the most representative works.

  3. Identifying the priorities for selecting and researching traditional music sources and developing the algorithm for identifying the most representative works.

  4. Selection of methods, technologies and technical means for creating electronic copies.

  5. Studying the experience of digitizing archive, library funds, digitization standards and guides for technical parameters.

  6. Identify the archives in which some targeted scores are located.

  7. Requesting permission for access to the archives that have the necessary scores.

  8. Selecting documents for scanning.

  9. Elaboration of the project site.

  10. Organizing the round table.

 

Expected results:

  • Academic works and sound materials will be approached according to the criteria of inventory, documentation, systematization, passporting.

  • A metadata system will be developed.

  • The methodology for digitizing the musical materials of academic and traditional music will be developed.

  • The project website will be developed.

  • A round table will be organized for scientific-teaching staff, doctoral students, master students, students from music institutions, performers of academic music and folklore, media representatives, etc. and presentation of materials  archive. Estimated 20–25 participants.  Place: AMTAP.

Deadline for completion : 01.11.2021–31.12.2021.

Project implementation activities in the current year :

  1. Taking over the manuscripts and transporting them to the Academy of Music, Theater and Fine Arts for digitization.

  2. Digitization of manuscripts - creation of electronic copies.

  3. Graphic processing of electronic copies.

  4. Quality control of electronic copies.

  5. Registration of electronic copies on external information media and their marking.

  6. Return of original documents for archiving.

  7. Processing audio files from the AMTAP Folklore Archive, checking  and reformatting each file of folk music sources in the AMTAP Folklore Archive.

  8. Cataloging folklore sources.

  9. Passporting of academic creations.

  10. Elaboration of metadata of academic musical works.

  11. Passporting of traditional music creations.

  12. Elaboration of metadata of folk music sources.

  13. Translation of metadata into Romanian and Russian.

  14. Carrying out scientific research as scientific leaders of theses  doctor, master, bachelor, course theses with topics related to research conducted within the project.

  15. Participation in various events to promote the creations of composers from the Republic of Moldova and musical folklore; preparing students and pupils for participation in competitions, festivals to promote the creations of composers from the Republic of Moldova and musical folklore.

  16. Organizing the round table. Discussing issues in the field at the round table, etc.

Expected results:

  • The first tranche of the sound material and the academic works will be digitized (300 folk creations (sound units) and 15 digitized academic works).

  • The first tranche of sound material and academic papers will be entered in the metadata system (300 folk creations (sound units) and 15 academic papers entered in the metadata system).

  • A round table will be organized for scientific-teaching staff, doctoral students, master students, students from music institutions, performers of academic music and folklore, media representatives, etc. and presentation of materials  archive. Estimated 20–25 participants.  Place: AMTAP.
