The results of the research undertaken within the project focus on important areas such as national musical culture and folk music heritage related to musicological research, ethnomusicology, etc.

The impact of the results obtained in the project is of major importance and contributes to the development of documentation and research of the musical heritage of the Republic of Moldova (folklore and composition), enriching the sources of information on the Annotated Register of Composers of the Republic Moldova and the Digital Register of the AMTAP Folklore Archive, by increasing the volume of knowledge about public and private music collections and integrating them in the Registers, by introducing in the scientific circuit of important collections that are part of the national music repertoire.

The scientific research carried out within the project contains elements of originality and novelty, because until now in the Republic of Moldova the issue of capitalizing on professional musical creation as a component part of the musical heritage of the Republic of Moldova has not been addressed. For the first time, the funds of the organ hall library and the archive of the Union of Composers and Musicologists were examined and capitalized. The field of documentation and research of the Musical Heritage of the Republic of Moldova (folklore and compositional creation) was developed by enriching the sources of information on the Annotated Register of the creations of composers from the Republic of Moldova.

The digital register of the AMTAP Folklore Archive, made for the first time in the Republic of Moldova, is a unique scientific achievement, given both the lack of such archival documents in other similar Archives in Moldova and Romania, and its size. It includes over 20 catalog items, including scientific annotations representing a database with elements of primary scientific research.

This will have a major impact not only in the field of subsequent ethnomusicological research, but also on the development of national musical culture in general, on the formation of vocal and instrumental repertoires of performers, as well as on the processes of safeguarding folklore.

The documentation of the national music patrimony constitutes the research field of the project, being a relatively new one for the musicology, ethnomusicology of the Republic of Moldova. The aim of the project lies in the development of the field of documentation and research of the musical heritage in the Republic of Moldova by examining and capitalizing on public and private funds and music collections.

Cataloging methods have been developed and  instructions on structuring information about compositional creation. The documentation in the field of digital cataloging and elaboration of databases related to musical folklore was performed. The delimitation for investigation periods of the audio materials from the Folklore Archive of AMTAP was performed. It was introduced in the Digital Register on compositional creation, and in the Digital Register of the Folklore Archive of a number of academic musical works and folk music sources.

There were 5 International Scientific Conferences and 1 Scientific Symposium with international participation for the purpose of public debate of scientific issues in the field, as well as methods for introducing compositional creation in the Republic of Moldova in concert practice and teaching. 6 volumes were published with the theses of the papers at 5 editions of the International Conference Musical Heritage of the Republic of Moldova (musical folklore and compositional creation) in contemporaneity and the Scientific Symposium with international participation with the title P musical heritage in contemporaneity (folklore and compositional creation) dedicated to Gle Ciaicovschi-Mereșanu. 5 volumes of scientific articles were published Study of arts and culturology: history, theory, practice.

Project team members participated in international scientific conferences (with 125 papers),  scientific conferences with international participation (with 12 papers) and at scientific conferences with national status (28 papers), in total - 165 papers.

The research undertaken during the years 2015–2019 was capitalized in 11 collections of scientific materials and 268 publications signed by the project participants. The project members published 9 catalogs, 2 monographs, 7 didactic papers, 2 course materials, 2 biobibliographies, chapters in monographs (4), a booklet and 241 scientific articles related to the results obtained within the project.

The team members guided master students and doctoral students who participated in scientific conferences and prepared articles about musical creation and musical folklore in the Republic of Moldova. They carried out scientific research as scientific leaders of doctoral, master's, bachelor's and master's theses with topics relevant to the project. 3 researchers (N. Slabari, Hr. Barbanoi, N. Chiciuc), AMTAP university lecturers, members of the project, finalized and defended in a.2016 and a.2019 the doctoral thesis in the study of arts with topics relevant to the project (leaders being members of the team).

Research in the field of national music and folklore also sensitized artistic circles: during the reference period, the participants in the project took part in various shows and events promoting the creations of composers from the Republic of Moldova and musical folklore; prepared students and pupils for participation in competitions, festivals to promote the creations of composers from the Republic of Moldova and musical folklore.   

The members of the project team (V. Melnic, I. Ciobanu-Suhomlin, L. Balaban) participated in the National Competition of Composition and Musicology, Musicology department with scientific materials developed and edited within the project and obtained / received six awards (Vladimir Axionov Prize - 3 awards, Gleb Ciaicovschi-Mereșanu Award - 3 awards); at the National Competition The most successful works in the field of librarianship and information sciences of 2015 (First Prize).
